Garden Grove, California – July 18, 2023 – School Board Meeting – Defend Teacher Terminated for Speaking Up for Parent, Student and Teacher Rights Urgent help needed for 34-year teacher, Sean Redmond. Garden Grove USD wants to fire him because he has filed a formal complaint to advocate for Parent, student and teacher rights regarding: · 1st Amendment rights of teachers and students against compelled speech · The violation of religious and moral beliefs of all stakeholders (parents, students and teachers) · The right to a safe educational environment · The right of parents to be included in the process of making school rules and being informed of the rules. The district is retaliating against Mr. Redmond by trying to fire him and the vote will take place at the board meeting on July 18th. The real goal is to hide any evidence of these violations. This is a threat to the rights of parents by educators (administrators) to take away the rights of parents.
