*A popular saying these days is "don't judge me". This is a way of saying "don't say anything about my sinning". Sadly many Pastors also do not want to deal with sin. The bible calls us to deal with sin. Both sin that causes lack of salvation/right relationship with God, and post salvation sins. We need to learn from John the Baptist that sin needs to be addressed and that it is God's will for sin to be addressed.
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."- 2 Timothy 4:2-4 KJV
"In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."- Matthew 3:1-2 KJV
"But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:"- Matthew 3:7-8 KJV
