"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22:13)Jesus is the first and the last. He began, He carries on, and He will complete the great work of our eternal salvation. He was and is the first and only One to which we were commanded to look to for redemption, and He will be the last we will ever need. He was the first subject we began to learn, and we shall be learning more from Him thru all eternity.He is first with us in every trial and trouble. and will never leave us nor forsake us. He is the foundation on which we build, and He will be our cover during the storms of life. We should look to Him first in every trouble and go to Him first with every need He includes all that is good, great, and glorious. He that hath Jesus hath all things.We began with Jesus, go on with Jesus, so shall we end with Jesus, and a blessed ending it will be. He is our great lesson, and we have learned nothing of purpose until we know Him. Oh, to know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, and to be made conformable to His death!Christ is my hope, my strength, my guide,For me He groaned, bled, and died.Christ is the source of all my bliss,My wisdom, and my righteousness.My Lord and Saviour, my faithful Friend,On Him alone I will ever depend.Friends, let us endeavor to live the joyful life of looking to Jesus, learning from Jesus, and living with Jesus as our Alpha and Omega from day to day.
