Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe." We live in uncertain times. Terrorism, rioting in cities, natural disasters, changes of moral standards, and economic difficulties are just some of the things we face daily. We need security and stability when things around us are shaky. Figure 911 has been fixed in our minds is one of collapsing towers that was so sudden we could hardly believe it could happen. True security does not come from this world. It comes from heaven and the Lord. God's name brings solace and safety like a tower rising from the abyss and debris of the world's failing insecurity. If nothing else (and there is much more), we have security that we will go to heaven when we die because of being in Christ if we have trusted Him as Saviour. Jesus' name is above every other name, leading to every knee bowing and tongue confessing that Jesus is Lord. His name has authority and will one day be the name by which all will be judged. May we proclaim His name everywhere and help people see our security and safety in Christ. It is the greatest security anyone can ever have. --- Dan Nelson
