I know a lot of you won’t read the notes I put below so I’m putting just a quick note at the start.
Christians must be careful to condemn only the practice, not the people. They can be forgiven, and their lives can be transformed. The Church should be a haven of forgiveness, love and healing without compromising its stance against their behavior.
We live at a time when men call right, wrong and wrong, right. At a time when evil is called good and good is called evil. Jesus spoke of times just like these in Matthew, chapter 24. The apostle Paul wrote of these times in II Timothy, chapter 3.
Now for the Scripture & notes
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,
“Male prostitutes” refers to those who practice homosexuality. The temple of Apollo employed men whose job it was to fulfill the sexual desires of male and female worshipers.
--- I Corinthians 6:9
Some attempt to legitimize homosexuality as an acceptable alternative lifestyle. Even some Christians say that people have a right to choose their sexual preference. But the Bible specifically calls homosexual behavior sin (see Leviticus 18:22-29; Romans 1:18-32, 1 Timothy 1:9-11). Christians must be careful, however, to condemn only the practice, not the people. Those who commit homosexual acts are not to be feared, ridiculed, or hated. They can be forgiven, and their lives can be transformed. The church should be a haven of forgiveness and healing for repentant homosexuals without compromising its stance against homosexual behavior.

I think most conservatives would agree with this. But the problem I see is, those of us who lean right are condemned by the left for even THINKING homosexuality is a sin. Utimately, this is where we are really at odds.
