Police say Holland got into an argument with Coyne and another man at a homeless encampment. He apparently fired into a vehicle driven by the other man and in which Coyne was a passenger. Months earlier Holland was charged with attempted first-degree murder after a group he was with jumped a man and tried to rob him. Even though he was charged with attempted first-degree murder, the charges were dropped simply because Holland didn't show up to court. According to fox17.com, "We spoke with Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp Wednesday afternoon. Wamp said the judge dismissed the charges because the victim did not show up for his appearance in court."
