Ephesians 4:32 (KJV) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
—-—————— Or ————————
Psalm 35:26 (KJV) Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify [themselves] against me.
SHAME: When any person from any church does something harmful, pray for them.
God will do what’s right even when man does not.
The first verse should always be your ‘go to’ verse. You are to forgive because you are forgiven! Whether you want to forgive doesn’t matter.
If the person continues to be hurtful, then pray the second verse.
No matter what’s happening in your life don’t blame God or give up on God.
When bad stuff happen to Jesus, he prayed for his enemies and those who framed him and even when Judas forsook him for 30 pieces of Silver.
God didn’t quit even after they crucified him. He arose in victory.
Jesus still met with his disciples after his resurrection even when they were not waiting for him at his tomb at the time of his resurrection (He told them in three days he would resurrect).
Jesus had every reason to quit but he didn’t.
So, when I hear of people quitting Church, I’m amazed at their childish, and selfish behaviour.
I’m happy/amazed/grateful/thankful that God never ‘gave up’ on me and you should be the same.
If you are not ashamed of quitting then you don’t know the God of the Bible.
