BEHOLD NOW BEHEMOTHBehemoth in Job 40 is an interesting creature. Notice especially the large tail:“Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. HE MOVETH HIS TAIL LIKE A CEDAR: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. He is THE CHIEF OF THE WAYS OF GOD: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.” (Job 40:15-19)How many large creatures do you know of that have have tails "like a cedar" and can be accurately described as "chief of the ways of God"? The scholars suggest an elephant or a hippo, but neither of these fit the description. Brachiosaurus or Titanosaurians, perhaps? Maybe. I, for one, do not know what behemoth was, but I do know that dinosaur-like animals once lived on earth with men because the word of God does not allow them to live at any other time. The word of God does not allow for a "pre-historic" world. When Adam named the animals, he also named the dinosaurs.
