Ps. 25:4 “Make me know your ways O Lord, Teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth & teach me for you are the God of my salvation.” The ways of God are learned in the furnace of affliction, through Christian friends & their encouragement, through consistent study in God’s Word as we study it with our head & put it in our heart. God will not divulge His ways to those who just have a passing acquaintance with Him. Instead, we must walk with Him in all these avenues, not understanding all to love Him but loving Him & serving Him when we don’t understand. Much about God’s Will is learned in the rearview mirror when we have to trust Him in the present to know His ways in the future. It is not an idle request or a simple pipe dream. It is a life-long quest to follow the Creator through His word until He lands us in eternity in Heaven, where we will understand it all, having the total mind of Christ. Until then, we keep praying this prayer & act in obedience to know how He is working & will work in our lives. --- Dan Nelson
