Arrested was 28-year-old Darius Lewis. Reports say Lewis claimed to have been firing at car burglars from his apartment. The bullet went through the wall of an apartment complex across the parking lot. Lewis appears to be a very poor shot. The deadly bullet struck Mefford in the head. "Mefford was a mother of three young boys who was originally from southwestern Pennsylvania," according to abcnews.go.com. The shooting death underscores the importance of freedom of association, including the freedom of living in neighborhoods designated for people groups who are traditionally non-violent such as whites and East Asians.
