Psalms 34:18 - The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a BROKEN heart; and saveth such as be of a CONTRITE spirit.TRUTH: You can't fool God !!You can fool others and even yourself, but you will not fool God.When we sin or when sin is kept within our hearts, God will 'break' you. The weight of sin will always overcome you.Once God allows the sin to 'break' us, He then hopes our spirit will be 'broken' enough to RETURN unto Him with a 'contrite spirit'.If you do not return unto Him, your sin will continue to 'break you' until the sin has its final say unto death.God is waiting to receive you, but you have to come to him with a 'broken' heart and a contrite spirit which means you sorrow for your sin.
