Seven Facts:
1. A man named Jesus lived.
2. He was crucified and He died.
3. He was buried in a tomb which was then sealed shut and guarded.
4. Three days later, the body was missing from the tomb.
5. Over the next 40 days, on at least 12 occasions, multiple different groups of people claimed to have seen Him with their own eyes, talked with Him, eaten with Him, and physically touched Him.
6. Those witnesses suffered beatings, imprisonment, and torturous death because they publicly testified to what they had seen with their own eyes.
7. There's not a single historical account of anyone who claimed to have witnessed the resurrected Christ who ever recanted his testimony even when faced with beatings, imprisonment, torture, and death.
I believe this is compelling, objective evidence of the resurrection! Just as in a court of law, we have circumstantial evidence (the body is missing), but more importantly, we have multiple eyewitnesses whose testimony stood up even when faced with the ultimate cross-examination (i.e. change your story or die!). A fair-minded person would say we have evidence for the resurrection "beyond a reasonable doubt."
Of course, I hope you also have the subjective evidence of having personally experienced Christ alive in your soul. If not, there's no better time than right now to invite Jesus into your life. Trust Him to save you from your sins and acknowledge Him to be the true Son of God and Lord of your life.
