WILL THE ANTICHRIST DICTATE A GLOBAL GOVERNMENTOR WILL IT BE A REGIONAL GOVERNMENT ONLY? Some believe the Antichrist will only rule over the Middle East and not over all the world, in spite of the fact that Revelation plainly states over and over that all the EARTH will be the dominion of the Antichrist: . . . Woe to the inhabiters of the EARTH . . . (Rev. 12:12 . . . ALL THE WORLD wondered after the beast (Rev. 13:3) And ALL THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH shall worship him . . . (Rev. 13:8) And deceiveth them that dwell on the EARTH . . . (Rev. 13:14) . . . the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the WHOLE WORLD (Rev. 12:9) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the EARTH, and to EVERY NATION, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (Rev. 14:6-11) . . . vials of the wrath of God upon the EARTH. (Rev. 16:1) And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the EARTH; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Rev. 16:2) . . . the beast, and the kings of the EARTH . . . (Rev. 19:19) Clearly, these references teach that the Antichrist will have a world-wide rule. That’s not to say that there aren’t going to be pockets of resistance here and there, such as Daniel 11:44 indicates, but his rule still stretches around the globe, not just over the Middle East. Satan has been laying the building blocks for his new world order for many years. It would make no sense for him to do this if he plans to rule only in the Middle East. Besides, why should anyone be surprised that the “god of this world” (II Cor. 4:4) desires to rule the whole world? After all, Isaiah 14:12-15 clarified Satan's plans long ago.
