You probably already know how easy it is for the enemy to twist the truth. We see it in the media over and over. That ol' serpent has been at this a long time. Look how he decieved Eve. First God gave his original word...Genesis 2:15-17 KJVAnd the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. [16] And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: [17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.Genesis 3:1 KJVNow the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? He questioned the integrity of God's simple command. "Did God reeaaalllyy say"?Genesis 3:2 KJVAnd the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Genesis 3:3 KJVBut of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. In this little conversation Eve left out a few words, added a few words and changed some words untill the serpent could say...Genesis 3:4 KJVAnd the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: The truth was completely twisted around to a blatent lie by playing a few word games and paraphrasing scripture. This is good reason to know the truth.2 Corinthians 2:11 KJVLest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
