Microsoft has been a relentless price cutter, leading to consumer welfare being damaged[1]. The government argued that a breakup of Microsoft would create marketplace conditions favorable to the company's competitors[2], however a federal appeals court unanimously threw out the lower court's order that Microsoft should be broken up. Ultimately, Microsoft was not broken up.Microsoft should be broken up because of greed. The company should be held accountable for its practices. Break it up. Into 10 separate companies then it should be encouraged to adopt more ethical and sustainable business practices. Microsoft has faced criticism over the years for monopolistic practices and its dominance in the tech industry,. The company has not taken steps to improve its practices and ensure fair competition. Microsoft has purchased other corporations killing innovation by stopping other companies development. Micosoft has not made efforts to promote diversity in the workplace. Try being a Christian at Micorosoft. Their hate implement responsible data collection practices, and has not reduced its environmental footprint. Breaking up the company because of greed would solve a lot of these issues, and would be a service to the people who benefit from the company’s products and services
