James 1:6 "But he that doubts is like a wave of sea driven & tossed by the wind”.Weak & wavering faith brings uncertainty & undue influence of the world to be led astray instead of being led by God. So what is the cure: James says in v. 22, “But be doers of the word & not hearers only deceiving yourselves.” We must act on God’s Word. Our faith is generated through faith in God’s Word after we hear it Rom. 10:17. If we never act on it however, we devalue what it can do in our lives. Acting on God’s Word is not sitting around with the best of intentions. James calls this really a sin 4:21. There will be a lot of believers who will stand before the Lord with the best of intentions to do more but fall short of God’s best. The more we do what God’s word says, the more we sense God’s power in us & the faith in us rises up to give us the confidence to accomplish His will in our lives. So the word =faith=obedience=confidence. Lack of confidence=, lack obedience=, lack of faith=lack of God’s word ruling our life, but the world is ruling us instead. Do the math!
