The Wicked Life of Unbelief Isa. 58:20-21 "But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There is no peace, saith, my God, to the wicked. People do wicked evil things because they do not believe they are accountable to an all-powerful, eternal God in heaven. You can't live this life with God without knowing Christ as your Saviour and expecting ever to have peace. At the end of your life, there will be broken dreams, disappointments, damage, and an empty life because you didn't know God in this life. But then in eternal separation from Him, you will be tormented forever in Hell. God is just honoring your decision. You decided to live without Him here and will not live with Him in Heaven, where He is King. Isaiah said those who don't know God are troubled. I would be if I were them and knew what awaited me in Hell. They have no moral compass in the Bible. They have no direction of the Holy Spirit to direct their paths to righteousness, so they are restless like the troubled sea, only spitting up dirt and mire. Their troubles intensify every year, and without God, the emptiness sucks their life out. The great axion is given. There is not some peace, a little peace, but NO PEACE TO THE WICKED! Can God make it any clearer? How different for one who is the believer who finds Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Rom. 5:1. You might think you have another kind of peace, but it's a sham. if you don't know Jesus. How different is Jesus' promise when He said, "Peace, I give to you, Peace I leave with you, not as the world giveth? Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" John 14:27. There is a Peace that passeth all understanding when Christians confront the same thing a lost person does, but they can have peace because we are following the Prince of Peace; the only one who can give eternal peace and that’s the only kind that really counts when all is said and done. --- Dan NelsonThe Wicked Life of Unbelief
