The great but sad tale of a Godly King.Imagine being king of all Judah , then a prophet ( Oded) comes to you and tells you that you have not been running your country the right way.King Asa didn’t get angry or throw him out but listened to the man of God and obeyed.His faith in God was so strong at that time...1.He removed all the idols out of Judah and burned them then repaired the alter of the Lord.2.He took away all the sodomites out of the land ( where,d they go?)3.He set up a mass revival in Jerusalem4.New Law... That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman...2nd Chronicles 15:135.He removed his own mother from being queen because she made an idol in the groves where idol worship was made.But his faith later wavered and another prophet ( Hananiah) came to him about 15 years later and admonished him.King Asa got furious at the rebuke and threw him in prison.Asa later had his sin find him out when the Lord diseased his feet ( diabetes?) because of disobedience.He refused to seek the Lord about the illness but only sought the doctors advice.He finally died and his son Jehoshaphat took over.Stay faithfull ALL YOUR LIFE , not just BE faithfull RIGHT NOW ONLY.
