EZEKIEL 34 - FEED THE SHEEP ". . . Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?" (Ezk. 34:2) Ezekiel 34 deals with God’s warnings against the irresponsible shepherds of Israel, the leaders of the people. It’s a great chapter for warning preachers to properly care for their people. The very first charge is that they feed themselves instead of feeding the flock. If you had a dollar for every preacher in America who thinks that his people “can’t handle” certain Bible truths, you could pay off all your bills. If you had another dollar for every preacher who DOESN'T KNOW enough Bible to teach VBS, you could probably retire. Jesus said to FEED the sheep (John 21:15-17). No excuses for hungry and malnourished sheep.
