The Bruges Group ·In hindsight, we can see the overwhelming damage the EU has done to Britain and to British spirit. This book published in 1974 outlines concerns about the self-loathing trend that began to emerge 50 years ago. It is clear that the EU played upon this trend and attempted to break Britain's spirit. It has also become clear that since we voted to Leave, the WOKE movement has continued trying to crush Britain's spirit, carrying on the abuse the EU inflicted on us.While we cannot vote to leave Woke, what we can do is clue ourselves up on our own history and recognise how proud we should be of this country's incredible achievements. Our pride in our history is what will stop the Woke movement.Our campaigns to those in power demanding a change in curriculum, our spread of information to enlighten and educate the British public, our acknowledgement of just how much the British Empire shaped the world for the better will eventually result in a proud and strong country that is free from the chains of the EU, Woke and whatever other abusive movements should emerge.Yes, it will take a long time, years probably, but it doesn't matter.
