After Jesus,s encounter with Nicodemus, He had an appointment from His Father in dreaded Samaria up north. ...John 4:4Jesus finally arrived and sat by the well at Sychar in a village in Samaria at high noon ( 6 th hour) and was weary from the 30 mile walk.Then a woman came out to get water from the well... Jesus was thirsty and asked her to draw some water from the well for Him.Instead of doing what Jesus asked, she argued and made the question racially motivated.By the way...His disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.”..John 4:8My Questions....1.Why did every single disciple ( all 12) have to leave to buy lunch ?2.Did all the disciples hate the half breed samaritans so much no one stayed around??3.Here,s a chance to be alone with Jesus without the other disciples... I would jump at that opportunity with both feet to stay with Jesus.Did the disciples show their secret contempt toward Jesus in doing this or their prejudice toward Samaritans??When the disciples did come back with lunch they were amazed Jesus was talking to this type of woman....John 4:27For whatever reason God the Father planned Jesus to be alone with her as she wouldn’t speak as openly as she proved by the fact she left immediately when the disciples came back...John 4:28Anyway, Jesus proceeded to give this Samaritan 2 what if,s...1.If you knew the gift of God2.Who it is that’s asking youYou would have instead asked me for the living water.Long story short, the woman dropped her bucket and went and witnessed about Him to the people of Sychar and many believed....John 4:28But...more were saved through His 2 days of preaching than her testimony...John 4:40-41After those 2 days of preaching,Jesus walked back the 30 miles to Galilee to His next assignment from His Father....The healing of the Noblemans son...John 4:46-54
