Lk. 4: 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted. to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set those who are oppressed at liberty, 19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." Jesus fulfilled Isa. 61:1-2a in describing His ministry He was initiating there at Nazareth. His ministry is so different from many unbelievers' views of Christianity. It was active in liberating people from what bound them. Jesus ministered to those imprisoned, without sight, released people from their sins, and spoke truth to people from God's Word.We do not bind people. Satan does that through sin. Our joy in the gospel ministry is to liberate people and free them through preaching the gospel. We have the greatest message in the world, the greatest power in the world, and the greatest promise. Jesus was declaring how he would bring hope and promise beyond anything they had ever known or would ever know.We should be excited about what God has called us to follow Jesus. Nothing is minuscule in what He has called us to do through following Him. People need the liberating power of the gospel message and we get to find people who will find all the potential it has to change their lives. I can't think of anything more exciting."--- Dan Nelson
