The Sufficiency of Christ for our Salvation
Christ stands for us before the Father in heaven. John 2:2. He is the one, and only Saviour in Jesus who will save anyone who will trust Him as Saviour instead of trusting only in yourself or a wrong source of salvation Heb. 7:25.
Recognizing Christ's unique saving sufficiency and His gospel is not arrogance. Rather, it is to grasp the greatest Good News: The Holy One has not abandoned us sinners to our own choice of complete independence and separation from Him—in hell. Amazingly, God freely offers us abundant eternal life! The biblical picture is of a King, with infinite agape (unconditional) love, inviting all people everywhere—undeserving, humble beggars, perishing from thirst and starvation—to His free banquet table.
Salvation is a gift from God. through His Son, Who was sent to us to save us. A lot of people don't know they need to be saved. Man has become too wise for his own good. We have all the answers and know everything we need to.
God is Who He says He is in the Bible. He is not. Who we think He is or Who someone else thinks He is. That someone else won't stand with you when you kneel in judgment before God, and He tells you to pay the penalty for your own sin, which is death. Who will you cry out to then when it is too late, and you are sentenced to eternity in Hell for rejecting the only Person Who could have saved you.
No one will hear your cries, and no one can do anything about it, not even God, because He is a God of His Word and speaks the Truth. For Him to go back on His Word, He couldn't be God. He is a just God Who gave us His very best Gift, His Son, Jesus Christ the Savior. Trust Him today to know His salvation.
