California - January 30, 2023 - Webinar - Community Impact Forum Who we are: Stand Up California, launched a couple of years ago as a grassroots project of A Voice for Choice Advocacy that connects activists on a county level to work together. A Voice for Choice Advocacy recently hired a Director to grow our grass roots effort and so we are relaunching Stand Up California to take it to the next level. Stand Up California helps educate local (school boards, county board of supervisors, city council) and state elected officials (California state assembly members and Senators), by providing activists succinct, well-researched materials and talking points, as well as a centralized site for local activists to network and support one another. Our goal this year is to grow our grassroots efforts by continuing to connect advocates across our California Counties. Together we will ensure the restoration of our rights, as outlined in the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Bill of Rights and the California Constitution, and the prevention of mandates for government assistance, education or to participate in society. We will kick off our Stand Up California Program by focusing on 5 counties: Los Angeles County, Orange County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County and San Bernardino County. Not in these counties? No worries! We will expand to every California County in the next few months, so come join us: Monday January 30th from 7pm-9pm for the relaunch of our Stand Up California Community We will be going through effective ways to take action in the School Board, Board of Supervisors, and the California Legislature.
