Just finished watching the excellent film 'Devotion,' a historically accurate film about a Corsair division on the Essex Class carrier Leyte (32,) and in particular two pilots who became fast friends to the unfortunate end. The film does not obsess with nor does it shy away from the inherent and very ugly racism pervasive in the military during the time period, which is set at just before and during the Korean War. Definitely a family film.
