"Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:" (Job 5:17)Job certainly knew a thing or two about correction and chastisement, didn't he? The Lord was well aware of how deep Job's heart was for God and how high his hopes in Him were, and He knew exactly what Job was in need of during these troubling days in his life. Many a time that old pothole filled road of life you and I travel down here can get mighty bumpy for all of us as we walk with the Lord. When we get bounced around a bit, we somehow come up with that foolish idea that our Heavenly Father has left us to ride out our journey alone. But we can be sure that the Almighty is always up to something Almighty that will be paved with a greater good as we continue along those Trails of Trials while following His lead.God has a purpose for everything that comes our way. We should therefore be more desirous of Prayerfully Finding what His purpose is during our troubles instead of trying to Personally Finagle our way out of them in our own strength. The Great Physician has never chosen the wrong medicine that He has prescribed for anything that ails us, and He never will. Why, He even has His own Pharmacy of Promises that He Wrote for us. How then can we be sure of that? Because the Bible gives us God's cure for not only Job back then, but to all the love Him now in the very next verse, "For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole." (Job 5:18)Friends, you and I then can rejoice during those times of hurt when Help from Heaven is disparately needed. Oh, rest assured believer, for that which you boldly prayed about has been heard at the Throne of Grace and the answers for understanding as to the Lord's reason for anything you're up against are on the way bringing that much needed strength and joy unspeakable.
