"God will never waste your suffering"What do I mean by such a statement? First of all let's be clear, God only sends suffering and pain when He is trying to get your attention, (see Hebrews 12:8) yet no matter how it came your way it always happens with His knowledge and permission. However when suffering comes your way He will take it to teach you a life lesson you need to learn in order that you may grow in grace and knowledge of Him. Sometimes we go through suffering because of ourselves, sometimes because of others around us and sometimes I am convinced simply because this world has sin and suffering and we have not made it to heaven yet.Keep in mind if you are going through a trial today that God will turn this into a triumph if you learn what you need to know while you are here. Psalms 84 says "While traveling through the Valley of Baca make it a well...". The valley of Baca was a dry dessert where men and women died from a lack of water. What the author is telling us in when we are in these dark times, do something for the next traveler, make their life easier.Today, instead of simply looking at the situation you are in and asking God to get you out of it, why not start praying that God will reveal to you how you can make the next person who goes through the same thing life easier when they get here where you are today. You may find you get out of this valley of sorrow and trials a lot quicker and even if you don't you will prove to be a blessing to the other travelers who may face the same type thing tomorrow.Thinking Out Loud .................
