Otomo SorinÔtomo Sôrin, or Yoshishige, was a prominent Sengoku period daimyô of northern Kyushu. At his peak, he controlled six provinces and became known as the Lord of Bungo. In 1551 Sôrin entertained Francis Xavier and allowed the establishment of a Jesuit mission in Bungo.
