“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
--- Luke 6:37, 38 ESV
A forgiving spirit demonstrates that a person has received God’s forgiveness. Jesus used the picture of measuring grain in a basket to ensure the full amount. If we are critical rather than compassionate, we will also receive criticism. If we treat others generously, graciously, and compassionately, however, these qualities will come back to us in full measure. We are to love others, not judge them.

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that it is so easy to judge others around me.
Help me not to judge or condemn but instead to forgive and bless them.
Please give me a forgiving heart through the transforming power of Your forgiveness.
Grant me a giving heart with limitless generosity and boundless kindness.
Teach me to live according to Your Word.
Thank you for allowing me to live in Your grace.
Help me extend that grace to other people as well.
In Jesus’ name
Amen

Are we to judge? Absolutely we are to judge according to true scripture. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. James 7:24 KJV
