Jesus Lord of ALL : Part 3 Of My Life – Colossians 3:1-4If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.Christ Is My LifeThe old man, we once were, is gone and now Christ is our life. (In the Greek there is no italicized words in vs. 4. It simply says, “Christ our life!”) Now because we are no longer who we once were. Now because our life is hid with Christ. Now because Christ is our life, let us live that life, not under the bondage of rule and regulation but in the power and glory of Jesus, Lord of Lords. In the sure knowledge of Christ, our All in All. In the unfailing hope of Jesus, King of Kings. In the completeness of Jesus, the beginning and the end. What a pale life to live by man-made rules when I should be ruled by Christ alone. Instead of just praising or worshiping the Lord in song, it presents theological truth and the Gospel. That song was “In Christ Alone.” That song could have been inspired by the truths of Colossian. In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song. This Cornerstone, this solid GroundFirm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love. What depths of peace,When fears are stilled when strivings ceaseMy Comforter, my All in AllHere in the love of Christ I stand! This is where we all must take our stand in Christ Alone.
