THEIR ROCK VS. OUR ROCK "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps." (Deu. 32:31-33) The terms “their rock,” “their vine,” and “their grapes” indicate that someone has a very different religion than that of the Bible, especially since their “rock” is spelled with a lower case “r” and our “Rock” is spelled with a capital “R” (I Cor. 10:4). Their rock would be “Pope Peter,” believed to be the “rock” of Matthew 16:18 and the head of the Roman Catholic Church. To go along with this heresy, they’ve also produced their own fermented wine to use in their perversion of the Lord’s Supper, the unholy mass. Hence: “Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps” (vs. 33).
