I believe the books sent down we messages to help guide us to peace. (The opposite of war.) Do we worship the message or do we worship the God that sent it?

If I send a message to someone and I say meet me on Tuesday and they don't get the message and then Tuesday comes. I have to reschedule and send another message. Right or wrong?
