1967, LTJG Denny Earl completed his bomb run and returned to USS Oriskany even though both his legs had been shattered when North Vietnamese anti-aircraft fire hit his A-4 Skyahwk. He was able to make a perfect landing but a barricade had been erected as a precaution.
