ROCKOLLECTIONS: BLACKOUTS PT.1
While hanging out with the Saints last week I overlooked the Anniversary of our First Great Blackout, November 9th 1965!
Time is relative, so this week a look at Blackouts that have hit New York City and the Northeast over the years.
We have had Blackouts in 1965, 1977 and 2003.
I was a kid for the first one in 1965, and it was fun.
For July 13th-14th 1977 I was with a girl, and it was romantic.
The one on August 14th 2003 just flat-out sucked, lol!
A sweltering Summer night with high humidity, and no way to get cool.
I'll begin with the first one in 1965, which happened at 5:27 in the afternoon.
So if you can, that is the recommended time to listen.
For the real experience, please have all electrical appliances shut off and pulled out of the wall...except for what you need to listen to this Musical Exploration Of Power Failures of course!
Let's Do Our Music in the Dark!
I'll leave a candle in the window for you, lol!
