26-year-old pro golfer Luis Vega was in New York on vacation with his girlfriend when he woke up with back pain. At the time he didn’t think much of it and went on with his day. He and his girlfriend spent the day together and went cycling around the city. He had more symptoms the next night and because he is a professional golfer, he knew had cause for concern. Doctors still aren’t sure of the cause, but he was diagnosed with a rare blood clot.
