There is such a thing as a "dead faith," a faith that "remains alone" and does nothing. If we believe in Jesus in the sense of accepting as true various facts about Him but do not have a true change of attitude toward God, self, sin, and holiness, we are not exercising saving faith. A living faith cannot fail to act itself out in our lives, affecting what we think and say and do.
