This is my nephew with a small Idaho badger. He took it with a 125 yd. shot, off hand with a Winchester .308.

I know that Dachshunds were supposedly bred to hunt badgers, but I would suggest that if you like your dog, do NOT sic him on one of THESE we have in Idaho. They'll treat that dog like a Chicken McNugget. I have personally seen a badger that would easily weigh 50-70 lbs. True story.
