The Swedish Parliament has approved the leader of the Moderate Coalition Party (UKP) Ulf Kristersson as Prime Minister of the country.
176 out of 349 deputies voted for Kristersson's candidacy, 173 members of parliament voted against.
The UKP is part of the right-wing coalition that won the parliamentary elections that took place on September 11.
The coalition won 49.5% of the vote.
The UKP itself took the third place, having received 68 mandates.
