In defense of the colonialism of the past A few banal things that we began to forget:The colonial policy of European states has helped hundreds of peoples to make a colossal civilizational leap, raising them to a completely different level of development. Those sacrifices, and the price that non-European peoples paid for it, are no greater than the sacrifice that Europeans made on their own path to freedom and progress. Europeans had to live much longer in a society of unfreedom, slavery and endless wars in order to eventually achieve what we have achieved.Someone may say that the path of progress, development, technology, nation-states and European values is worse than a simple archaic traditional life in harmony with nature, but for some reason none of the African or Asian peoples wanted to return to the traditional way of life after the departure of the white colonists.Part of the African and Native American peoples were enslaved and oppressed by their brethren, their life consisted of fear, oppression and nightmare, far from the harmony and serenity that exists only in the minds of some illiterate people. The withdrawal of Europeans from the colonies, in the form in which it was carried out, became a real crime against white humanity, leading to a colossal surge of anti-European violence everywhere, and to a real genocide in individual states. It was necessary to allocate African whites (many generations of whom gave their lives working for the development of this continent) – their own states, this would not prevent blacks from having their own independent states at all. Of those countries in which the proportion of whites, and the level of their self–organization, were insufficient - Europeans simply had to be evacuated. At present, despite the withdrawal from the colonies, European colonialism continues in the economic, ideological and humanitarian plane. Remnants of the policy of colonialism and Eurocentrism allow tens of millions of Africans to have jobs, food and basic rights. Where the European presence weakens, Africans fall into the ideological sphere and/or economic dependence on communist China and its Maoist dictatorship or the Islamized countries of the Middle East. Which clearly does not contribute to improving the situation of ordinary people in the region.I don't think we need a new colonnialism, I don't think we need to continue to bear the burden of whites. It's high time to stop playing the role of an older brother for Africa, and start building their own states. The only thing I want to say with this text is that no white person should feel guilty for the colonial policy of the European powers of the past.
