John 3:16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” KNOW or BELIEVE: You can know of this verse but that doesn't mean you believe it.Since God was willing to send us his 'only' begotten Son, then we should realize that it is 'only' his Son that can be provided as the GOSPEL for salvation. The Gospel is 'what' Jesus did for us and not what others can do for you!Salvation is NOT within a person, within a church, with a pastor or priest, within your goodness or within your wealth to pay for your sins. Again, the Gospel is 'what' Jesus did for us and not what you or others can do for you.Salvation is 'only' found within the Son of God who was made sin for us. The Gospel is about Jesus and not about us or our particular church. The message of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ is the Gospel (I Corinthians 15:1)Now, at Christmas we celebrate his birth, which is OK, but always remember, he was born with the purpose of the cross. The message of the cross and his sacrificial death with his resurrection is the GOSPEL.Therefore, if you want to celebrate his birth then also celebrate why he came and died for all. Now, do you believe the GOSPEL or have you've just heard of it and know of it?When you believe it, the Gospel changes you. When you just know of the gospel then you are unchanged and still enjoy the comforts of this world.Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
