When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become a new creation. Born again. God starts changing us. Some may see some changes instantly but God doesn’t instantly do everything. It’s not like BAM! I’m changed and I don’t need to do anything. No. You have to continually get into God’s word and let him speak to your heart. You will go through trials on your journey but that’s how God changes you.But sometimes I feel like I’m not making progress in my spiritual life. I know I do. When God starts a project, he completes it! Sometimes I just say “God where are you? Why can’t I get this? What’s going on?” But God has his master plan. He knew from the beginning what you would be going through so I have to keep a couple verses going through my head to keep me on track or at least keeping me motivated.Do you sometimes feel as though you aren’t making progress in your spiritual life? When God starts a project, he completes it! As with the Philippians, God will help you grow in grace until he has completed his work in your life. When you are discouraged, remember that God won’t give up on you. He promises to finish the work he has begun. When you feel incomplete, unfinished, or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God’s promise and provision. Don’t let your present condition rob you of the joy of knowing Christ or keep you from growing closer to him.PRAYERDear Heavenly Father,Help us to see our lives the way You see it as whole and complete. You are the same God who begins a good work, perfect it and complete it for our eternal benefit.I ask that You give me the opportunity to serve others and continue the good work in me. Help me to perfect my words and deeds to be a blessing to those around me.Give me renewed confidence in You that You are working for me.Help me learn to have a servant's heart and live in humility and gratefulness until the day of Christ’s return. In Jesus’s name,Amen
