The Congress shall have power to declare war. Article I Section 8, U.S. ConstitutionWe can no longer afford to fight wars just to satisfy the demands of the American War Machine better known as the military–industrial complex. In short legally we have been in a period of peace since the end of World War II and we should have dismantled our war efforts and not increased them.Under the Constitution only the Congress has the legal authority to declare a war not the President or any Department or agency of the Federal Government. The last Congressionally declared war was in December 8, 1941 which entered us into World War II. Every Presidentially declared war, conflict and skirmish we have gotten in since then have been totally unconstitutional and in some cases a violation of international laws. These unconstitutional wars must stop and those individuals must who starting them brought to justice both here and in an international war crimes court. We can no longer afford to fight wars just to satisfy the demands of the American War Machine better known as the military–industrial complex. In short legally we have been in a period of peace since the end of World War II and we should have dismantled our war efforts and not increased them. The Congress shall have power to raise and support armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years. Article I Section 8, U.S. ConstitutionEvery 2 years the Congress must appropriation funds to support our Army. Without any legal justification the Congress is unable to do so. Since the end of World War II there has not been any legal justification for maintaining our Army and Air Force. Not only that but since the end of World War II no other country in the world has attacked us. EVER! Not the Korea, Vietnam. Afghanistan or Iraq. Every one of these wars have been based solely upon false, fabricated and misleading intel provided by the military industrial complex through the CIA.Therefore when you go to the polls to vote for the members of our Congress in November consider who has continually voted to keep us at war. AND who have been supporting these unjust conflicts.
