Has it ever occurred to you that nothing has ever occurred to God? Nothing surprises or shocks God. He is not held captive by any set of circumstances. Nothing is beyond His control. He is not worried or in His high and holy Heaven “biting proverbial fingernails”. He never pouts, ponders or makes decisions under pressure. Robert Browning, poet laureate of Scotland said, “God's in His Heaven, all's right with the world”. We are not interpreting that he was saying all is right in the world from our vantage point, but we are affirming that no matter how I feel or see things, as long as God is on His throne “...we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). And God shall never be removed from His throne; our Lord is Sovereign. Jesus Christ is Lord of all! “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9,10).
