Had the most DEEEEEELICIOUS Porterhouse steaks I’ve ever devoured!A friend of ours goes upstate to Lowville NY, east of Watertown, to a Mennonite farm every once in awhile to buy a cow to butcher. The farm is called Nolt’s Meat Market and a link to their website is below. They also have a country store chock full of good and wholesome things. So she brought us a mess of steaks and sausage and today I decided to cook up some of the porterhouse steaks. After salting them with kosher salt, (always best,) and letting them sit for a couple of hours at room temperature, I put them into the pellet Smoker Grill. They came out excessively yummy. They were so good that they should have been outlawed! Yes, they were THAT good! So tender and juicy and tasty!! A plus I have found about using a pellet grill is that for some reason I get what I could never really get with charcoal or propane - the fat rind crisps deliciously!! Today I used apple flavored pellets to give the meat an innovative flavor. Yummmmmmm! Along with the steaks, I cooked up some corn on the cob - buttered and salted before grilling, and some super yummy sautéed Portabella Mushrooms which I sautéed in a mixture of Ghee and Sesame Seed Oil with a sprinkling of Garlic, salt and pepper. What an outstanding meal this was!! Any wait until she brings some more!! The accompanying wine selection was a very nice White Merlot. Perfectly paired with these steaks.https://nolts-custom-meat-cutting.business.site
