The Honoring our PACT Act of 2022 has been signed into law on August 10, 2022. That means we no longer are being forced to seek just compensation through the VA. This law allows each of us to file with the Department of the Navy directly for compensation. The Navy then has 6 months to respond, make good with a just and honorable compensation payment and pay us or we are able to file a claim in the Federal Court against the United States Government seeking a just and fair compensation for our injuries.
the only thing we need from the VA is our medical records proving we have been unjustly injured by the United States.
I must warn you in advance. The VA will attempt to discourage you and tell you that they are the sole arbitrators in this matter and you must have one of their listed conditions to qualify. Under this new law the VA has absolutely no say as everything goes through the Navy and the Federal Courts. I myself have run into a brick wall with the VA and my lawyers are telling me that they are in the process of filing for a warrant to force the VA to turn over my medical records to them. Remember we are filing as individuals and not as a class action so each case is different. That is why I suggest you get a lawyer who is knowledgeable in this matter.
