Who are the Two witnesses in the Tribulation? The Bible does not tell us who the Two Witneses are who have supernatural powers in the soon coming tribulation, although it does say in Malachi 4:5 that Elijah will appear before the great and terrible day which refers to the tribulation. The Two Witneses will have supernatural powers. They will be able to prophesy for 1260 days, as well as consume their enemies with fire from their mouth, they will also be able to stop the rain for 1260 days, turn water into blood and bring to the earth as many plagues (pestilences) as they like and as often as they like. After 1260 days, they will be killed by Satan and fall dead in the street and for 3.5 days they will lie in the street ignored and people will be celebrating their death by sending gifts to each other. The whole world will then be shocked as they are resurrected from the dead and are seen ascending up to Heaven. (Revelation 11:3-12) Elijah and Moses may well be the Two witnesses because they were at Jesus' Transfiguration and they are both Jews and the powers which they have in the tribulation are identical to what they had when they were on earth. It is likely not Enoch as he was not a Jew, he had no powers and he didn't return at Jesus' Tranfiguration.
