On August 1, 2009, Trisha Lynne Babcock was sitting in the driver's seat of a car when a boy approached to rob her. When she resisted him, 12-year-old Demarco Harris shot her in the chest, and she later died at a hospital.
Demarco's sentence ended in 2017 because he turned 21.
