My dad was in the US Navy for almost 30 years. Growing up, my brother and I were taught what the flag stands for, how we are supposed to clean it and fold it, and most of all how to respect it! It symbolizes freedom!! I live in Oregon, I have friends that places their flag on the back of their trucks and jeeps, each and every time they go to Portland. They return to their vehicle with the flag on the ground torn from the pole. I wish I could just pick up my stuff and move out of this State.
