2017, me wearing a support the troops shirt in the Russian Irkurt Aircraft factory in Siberia. I had convinced the Russians that my company would be very upset if my picture was taken on any other day than Friday. I practice RED Fridays = Remember Everyone Deployed, Fridays.Being Ex- communists they did not question it. I was in Siberia for 3 months as a Vet who had spent 3 years oppossing Soviet troops on the Iorn curtain. The Russians were warm and friendly for the most part. I had a ball screwing with them. But they invited me back for first flight test mechanic in Moscow. Russia did NOT start Ukraine.
