Them "How many children have to die before you give up your guns?!" Are you trying to manipulate my emotions or is that a threat...? Authoritarians have always used the excuse of necessity or safety for disarming the people. Our founders knew this because they studied history. Well, as they say, if you don't learn from history then you're doomed to repeat it. Just look at the nations within our own recent past. Let's look at some numbers really quick: Joseph Stalin: Took guns from the people in 1929 then proceeded to slaughter 60 Million of his own people. Moa Zedong: Took guns from the people in 1935 and proceeded to slaughter over 100 Million of his own people. Adolf Hitler: Took the guns from the people in 1938 then murdered over 6 Million of his own people. Pol Pot: Only allowed his "army" to have guns and proceeded to murder 2 Million people. That's just under 170 Million unarmed civilians murdered by their own governments within less than 100 years! Anyone telling you that it's "necessary for safety" to confiscate all guns either has a room temperature IQ or intends to do you harm.
